The New McCain

The Presidential race has turned into an audition for who can handle a national economic emergency. The New York Times (Politics, The New McCain: More Aggresive and Scripted on the Campaign Trail) states. Since this is my first year to vote I felt it important to study this aspect of U.S. Government. I am in strong favor of Senator John McCain. After reading this article from the NYT, that shows both pre-campaigning and post campaigning Senator McCain, I am nearly certain of my decision.

"Thanks for the question, you little jerk" Mr. McCain said last year to a high school who ask about his age, jokingly saying "Your drafted".

This is one example of the old John McCain the new McCain takes far fewer chances, meaning there are fewer risque' jokes. He appears to be more disciplined. I think that his running mate Gov. Sarah Palin can rivet the crowds, which will balance out the new McCain. To acknowledge the articles somewhat negative view on McCain's promise this and promise that, I really feel like this is both sides Dem. and Rep. it is after all, Politics! There are arguments about news conferences, immigration, taxes, money spent on campaigns and the list goes on, but what it will come down to is who can handle a national economic emergency? To quote Senator John McCain " The American economy is in a crisis!" "It's in a crisis".

I think you should all read this article, because it shows both sides of a very good candidate.
